Bridie Jackson
Musician

Staithe is a musical collaboration between Bridie Jackson and Nick Pierce, creating original music centered around voice, classical guitar, viola, piano, and electronic samples. Bridie is best known as the singer and songwriter from Bridie Jackson and The Arbour, while Nick is a classical viola and synth player. Together, they craft what a fan once described as "joy-adjacent and dreamy" songs and instrumentals.
They began playing together informally at home during the 2020 lockdown and officially formed Staithe in 2023. Since then, they have been performing and self-recording their own music, alongside composing bespoke soundtracks for theatre and dance productions. Recent projects include collaborating with choreographer Jennifer Essex and TeesDance Ltd on the large-scale dance production HOME, and creating the soundtrack for a contemporary dance production of The Little Prince for The Customs House, South Shields.
